Inter Milan Could Make Surprise January Swoop for Former Chelsea Hero Ramires

?Former Chelsea midfielder Ramires could join Serie A side Inter Milan in January, according to the Daily Mail.

The 30-year-old Brazilian is currently in China with Jiangsu Suning, though the Chinese season ends in November and the player’s agent has confirmed that a move to the San Siro in early 2018 could be on the cards.

??Ramires left Chelsea in January 2016 after winning the Premier League, Champions League, Europa League, FA Cup and League Cup in six years at Stamford Bridge. He scored 37 times in 246 games for the Blues and is regarded as somewhat of a cult hero in West London.

Inter are reportedly tracking the Brazilian’s situation in Asia, with a loan move to Italy a possibility. He’s made a positive impact in China, scoring 18 goals in 68 games since his move.

Inter are currently flying high in Serie A, where they sit second, but are looking to boost their squad in a bid for their first league title since 2010.

The move could be helped by the fact that Chinese consortium Suning Holdings Group hold a majority stake at Inter, and their sister company owns Ramires’ current employers Jiangsu.

Inter Set to Move for Highly-Rated Duo Pastore and Mangala to Boost Serie A Title Bid

?Manchester City defender Eliaquim Mangala and Paris Saint Germain midfielder Javier Pastore have both emerged as potential targets for Inter Milan, as they look to boost their squad for a potential shot at the Serie A title.

Inter, who haven’t finished top of the pile in Italy since 2010, are currently unbeaten and second in the table, just two points behind pacesetters Napoli after eleven games of Serie A season, and it seems the Nerazzurri are planning to build a squad capable of going all the way in the fight for the Scudetto.

According to ?Football Italia, Italian newspaper Tuttosport claims that both Mangala and Pastore are considered viable targets for Luciano Spalletti’s side.

Tuttosport reportedly claim that Pastore, who has made just 36 league appearances for Paris Saint Germain since the start of the 2015/16 season, is thought to be a “perfect” fit for the 4-2-3-1 formation employed by Spalletti at Inter.

Like Pastore, Mangala has also found first team opportunities hard to come by at his current club in recent times. The French defender has made just three appearances for Manchester City this season, and spent the whole of last season on loan at Valencia.

It is thought Mangala would provide extra strength in depth to Inter’s defence, with Miranda, Andrea Ranocchia and Milan Skriniar the only central defensive options currently available to Spalletti.

Serie A Giants Join Manchester City in Battle for Atletico Starlet Jose Gimenez

?Internazionale are reportedly set to battle it out with Premier League leaders Manchester City and Serie A holders Juventus to sign Atletico Madrid star Jose Gimenez.

Speculation about the future of the Uruguay international is beginning to grow, with the youngster’s contract at Atletico it set to expire in June 2018. There has also been nothing official indicating that Diego Simeone’s side are preparing to offer him a new deal.

With the uncertainty, Inter are reportedly now interested in signing Gimenez. According to ?Football Italia, Inter’s sporting director Piero Ausilio is targeting the defender to strengthen the squad and he has also been given clearance by the owners, the Suning Group, to make the deal happen.

However, they will face competition from Manchester City and Juventus for the player. Juventus are particularly said to be interested in the Uruguay star and have reportedly been monitoring him for some time.

The 22-year-old has seen his playing time decreasing over the last few seasons at the Spanish club. In the 2015/16 campaign he featured 27 times for Los Rojiblancos, but that number went down to just 17 last season and just five so far this term.

Gimenez revealed in the summer that it is his ‘dream’ to play in the Premier League one day. However, he also said if Atletico Madrid offered him a ‘contract for life’ he would stay in Spain

Speaking to ?Direct TV Uruguay, he said “I dream about playing in the Premier League because all the games are pretty even.

“But if Atletico make a contract for life, I am staying. Atletico have taught me so much since the day I arrived. I’m privileged to be at the club.

“I’m calm about transfer rumours and I always discuss them with my representatives.”

Report Claims Inter’s Stand Out Defensive Star Will Not Be Sold Despite Barcelona Interest

?Milan Skriniar may have been subject to reported interest from Barcelona, but his current club Internazionale are ready to block any offers that come his way.

Catalan outlet Mundo Deportivo had previously reported that Barcelona had looked at Skriniar as a possible target to bring into the squad, ?while Atletico Madrid had also been linked with a move.

However, Inter are not likely to give up their prized defensive star, who only joined this summer in a €25m move from Sampdoria.

Tuttosport (via Football Italia) claim that the Nerazzurri are going to stand resolutely against selling the Slovakian no matter what, while the club’s new financial might may help them resist offers.

Another key Inter star Ivan Perisic was the subject of much transfer speculation this summer – with Premier League heavyweights Manchester United heavily linked. However, Inter defied expectations to hold out against a lucrative offer.

Skriniar, who has proved to be a shrewd piece of business for Inter, has scored twice already this season from defence as Inter currently second in Serie A table on 29 points after 11 games, just two points off league leaders Napoli.

Ex-Gunners Captain Thomas Vermaelen Could Push for Premier League Return in January

Ex-Arsenal captain Thomas Vermaelen is apparently unhappy at current club Barcelona, having been limited to as few as 22 appearances, since joining the Catalans in the summer of 2014, and could move to Premier League side Everton in January.

According to ?TuttoMercatoWeb the veteran defender is now looking to reignite his career with a new club in January, having been a vital asset to Arsene Wenger during his time in England.

The 31-year-old Belgium international is now concerned that his place in the national team is in jeopardy while he remains on the bench with the Spanish giants.

According to the report, Vermaelen actually attempted to leave Camp Nou last summer, but didn’t receive any realistic offers. Now, however, Barcelona are actually on the same page as Vermaelen and want to help facilitate a permanent move in the transfer window.

There’s currently big interest from two clubs – one being struggling Everton and the other resurgent Inter.

FC Internazionale v UC Sampdoria - Serie A

The Italian titans are finally back on track in terms of competing for major honours thanks to new manager Luciano Spalletti and his vision for the club. The Italian coach believes Vermaelen would be a perfect fit for the side, having managed the centre back during his spell at Roma last season.

Unfortunately for Everton, it looks as though a loan deal is close to being agreed between Inter and Barcelona. However, the prospect of a permanent move to Merseyside could yet tempt the Belgian back to the Premier League.
