Luciano Spalletti’s Inter will travel to Florence for their encounter against Fiorentina on Sunday as they look to continue their recent good form.
After hitting a rut, the Nerazzurri have won four matches on the bounce despite their ongoing drama with star striker Mauro Icardi.
The issues with the Argentine have not bothered the side, winning every fixture since the issue emerged.
Here’s how Inter could look for Sunday’s clash.
3. Goalkeeper & Defenders
Samir Handanovic (GK) – The Slovenian has been an ever-present for the Milan club since he arrived in 2012.
Cedric Soares (RB) – The former Southampton man has adjusted to life well at his new club in Serie A.
Milan Skriniar (CB) – The highly coveted centre back is always a danger at set pieces due to his impressive aerial abilities.
Stefan de Vrij (CB) – The Netherlands international and his partner have been solid in recent matches and will hope they can keep that trend going on Sunday.
Kwadwo Asamoah (LB) – Signed from Juventus in the summer, Asamoah is a strong passer but is yet to register an assist in Serie A so far this season.
Marcelo Brozovic (CM) – The Croatian found his name on the team sheet on Thursday and will be on the lookout for another start on Sunday.
Roberto Gagliardini (CM) – The deep lying midfielder will be looking to get possession back for his side whenever the opposition are on the attack.
Radja Nainggolan (CM) – The attacking midfielder will look to unlock the Fiorentina defence and get his teammates on the front foot.
Matteo Politano (RW) – Politano has had a difficult season so far, managing just two goals and three assists in 22 league appearances.
Lautaro Martinez (ST) – Filling in for the likely absent Icardi, the talented Argentine will look to add to his four Serie A goals against the Viola.
Ivan Perisic (LW) – The winger scored against Rapid Wien and will be running the lines to make sure he is a threat throughout the game.
