Inter midfielder Radja Nainggolan has thanked the fans for the supportive messages after learning he had tested positive for coronavirus.
The Nerazzurri confirmed the Belgian has tested positive for COVID-19, and the former Roma man posted a message on social media to thank fans for their support.
“Hello everyone,” he wrote. “Unfortunately, I’m positive for COVID too. I’m in isolation, I have ready your many messages and I sincerely thank you for the affection.
“I hope to return soon.”
Nainggolan seemed set for a move back to Cagliari this summer, but President Steven Zhang reportedly blocked the move.
