Inter Milan Manager Luciano Spalletti Claims Man Utd Target Ivan Perisic Wants San Siro Stay

Ivan Perisic wants to stay at ?Inter Milan despite interest from Manchester United, according to his manager Luciano Spalletti.

The Croatia international has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford, with Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho known to be on the lookout for another winger this summer, but so far a transfer is yet to materialise.

Following a 1-0 friendly win over Real Betis, in which Mauro Icardi scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot, Spalletti claimed Perisic is focussed solely on playing for Inter, despite persistent rumours of a potential move to the Premier League.

“Perisic is determined to remain,” Spalletti told Sky Sports Italia, as quoted by ?Goal.

“He spoke like a player who wants to do well and be professional.”

Perisic impressed last season, scoring 11 goals and contributing eight assists as Inter finished seventh, failing to qualify for European football.

Spalletti spoke less favourably about midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia, who is yet to produce the form that made him an eye-catching talent during his time with Ligue 1 side Monaco.

He added: “Kondogbia has been very disappointing and his behaviour does not reflect the person we know. He is damaging himself with this behaviour.

“He wants to go to Valencia on loan and save a bit on his wages, but he wants it too easy… When there is something you don’t agree on, you find a middle ground. Considering the money spent on him, it’s difficult.

“In my view, Kondogbia was given some bad advice, as this sort of attitude is just not part of his personality.

Barcelona Prepared to Fight Man Utd for Inter Star’s Signature if Coutinho & Dembele Bids Fail

?Manchester United may have serious competition for the signature of Ivan Perisic if Barcelona decide to move for the Inter Milan star.

La Blaugrana are currently chasing top transfer targets Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele, but if the Catalan giants are rebuffed in their advances for the pair, they could opt to turn their attentions to Perisic instead.

That is according to Spanish sports journalist Alfredo Pedulla anyway, who took to his Twitter account to make the claim that Barca would duke it out with United for the 28-year-old forward if deals for Coutinho and Dembele fell through.

Barcelona have seen big offers for the Liverpool playmaker and Borussia Dortmund forward rejected by their clubs as they look for viable alternatives to Neymar, who departed in a world-record £200m deal to Paris Saint-Germain.

Barca boss Ernesto Valverde is keen to replace the Brazil superstar with another talented player, and had earmarked Coutinho and Dembele as the men to replace him.

However, a move for Perisic could be made by the Copa del Rey holders if they are unsuccessful in their pursuits of their number one choices – a factor could also force United’s hands if they still retain an interest in the Croatia international.

Perisic has been linked with a transfer to the Premier League heavyweights all summer long, but Red Devils manager Jose Mourinho is unwilling to match Inter’s reported £50m asking price for the winger.

Barcelona would, by contrast, be easily able to afford such a figure with Neymar’s money burning a hole in their pockets and, whilst his arrival would arguably draw less fanfare than Coutinho or Dembele, it would be a decent piece of business for the La Liga club.

Perisic has registered a not-too-shabby 26 goals and 22 assists in 112 games for I Nerazzurri, and his versatility in being able to play anywhere across the forward line would be a huge bonus to Barcelona’s tactics of playing with a fluid and dynamic attack.

Perisic is currently contracted to Inter until the summer of 2020, and the Serie A club are believed to be in the process of trying to offer him better terms to keep him at the San Siro.

Man Utd Edge Closer to Signing Inter Star as Italian Report Reveals Further Transfer Talks

?Manchester United are believed to be edging closer to finalising a deal for Inter Milan winger Ivan Periši?, with the player’s agent rumoured to have met with Old Trafford officials on Thursday with a view to bringing the move forward.

The Red Devils have been pursuing the Croatian for a number of weeks, with Inter resolutely digging their heels in and refusing to negotiate a deal.

According to reports by Italian news outlet FCInterNews, via the Daily Express, the 28-year old’s agent Fali Ramadani discussed a possible move with the Premier League side yesterday, aiming to establish personal terms with the player ahead of a fresh transfer bid. Inter are thought to be determined to hold on to Periši?, with time to secure a replacement running out.

It now seems that Inter will attempt to coax Periši? into committing himself to the club with a lucrative contract extension, while United will try to lure the player in with a similarly dazzling contract, before offering the San Siro side a deal too good to turn down. Inter boss Luciano Spalletti has publicly expressed his desire to keep Periši? at the club despite United’s interest.

Manchester United have strengthened their squad significantly ahead of the 2017/18 Premier League season. £76m signing Romelu Lukaku is set to lead the line for José Mourinho’s side, while robust midfield Nemanja Mati? and promising centre-back Victor Lindelöf have added some well-needed bulk to what was previously a rather fragile looking starting XI.

United’s interest in Periši? is certainly warranted, given the high levels of consistency and work-rate he possesses

The versatile attacker can play both as a winger or in a more central role, and has shown a real eye for goal in recent years. An experienced international with 16 goals in 56 appearances for Croatia, Periši? could prove an excellent signing for the Red Devils.

Arsenal Set to Make a Move for Caen Starlet Following Failed Bid From Inter

?After Serie A side Internazionale saw an approach of £5.4 million rejected by Caen for the services of 19-year-old Yann Karamoh, Arsenal are now set to swoop for the young French-Ivorian.

According to ?Calciomercato, the Gunners will face competition from fellow suitors Saint Etienne, as competition for the youngster’s signature heats up.

While Inter also remain interested in acquiring Karamoh’s services, the Italians have had two initial offers rebuffed and may subsequently be willing to risk waiting until next summer when his contract expires with Caen in order to bring him to San Siro on a free transfer.

Regarding the interest emanating from Inter, Caen club president Jean Fracois-Fortin said: “Inter made a fairly honest offer, considering the player had only a year left on his contract. We still have the hope of finding an agreement as soon as possible. This is the right project for him.”

While Inter’s hesitation could be a risky decision if either Arsenal or Saint Etienne were to push for a move to bring Karamoh to their club, it is believed that the France under 21 international’s preferred destination is with the Nerazzurri.

Throughout the 2016/17 campaign Karamoh was involved in nine goals for Caen, scoring five and assisting four from 35 Ligue 1 games.

The young winger shone quietly in a season whereby compatriot Kylian Mbappe stole the headlines, seeing Karamoh go somewhat under the radar.

Interest in the starlet is likely to increase as his contract with Caen approaches its conclusion, subsequently Arsenal may have to move quick if they are to pen a deal for the young winger who has already made a bright start to his career, drawing comparison between himself and the aforementioned Mbappe.

VIDEO: Turkish Champions Unveil Gary Medel in Another Brilliant ‘Come to Besiktas’ Announcement

?Besiktas have confirmed the signing of former Cardiff City central midfielder Gary Medel from Inter. The Chilean arrives into the club for a reported €2.5m and signs a three year deal with the Turkish giants.

As has become a bit of a tradition for Besiktas this summer, Medel was announced with their now-typical ‘come to Besiktas’ video – involving phone calls and cartoon filters. However, the 30-year-old’s announcement received a bit of a twist.

??The video reveals new signing Jeremain Lens calling a ‘middle man’ in his attempts to bring Medel into the club. The middle man that the former Sunderland winger uses is the son of fan favourite Atiba Hutchinson, according to Squawka.

Medel becomes the fourth player this window to be unveiled via the ‘come to Besiktas’ video – joining Lens, former Real Madrid centre half Pepe and Alvaro Negredo.

??The midfielder turned centre back has enjoyed an illustrious career in all reaches of the world, featuring for the likes of Boca Juniors, Sevilla, Cardiff and Inter Milan – as well as racking up an impressive 105 international caps for Chile.

Medel joins Besiktas along with a huge wealth of other talent as the club look to continue their domination of Turkish football.

The team triumphed in the Turkish Super Lig last season, finishing four points clear of second placed Istanbul Basaksehir, and with some strong summer recruitment, the club seem to be preparing to make some long awaited ground in continental football.

Besiktas have already qualified for the group stages of this season’s Champions League, and with experienced players such as Pepe and Negredo within their ranks, they’ll be hoping to progress as far as possible.
