Picking the Best Potential Inter Lineup to Face Verona on Saturday

The weekend sees Serie A action return after what felt like an excruciatingly long international break.

Inter fans will be desperate to get back to domestic action following their emphatic 5-0 victory over ?Sampdoria a fortnight ago.

With only one loss in 10 games, Inter will fancy their chances against a Verona side stuck 19th in the league table.

  • Handanovic

?It would be silly to question Samir Handanovic’s position in the squad. The Slovenian stopper is amongst the goalkeeping elite around Europe, and is more than worthy of his spot at San Siro.

  • João Cancelo

  • Škriniar

  • Miranda

  • D'Ambrosio

?Milan Skriniar is one of Serie A’s biggest success stories this season, and alongside Brazilian centre back Miranda, the two have made Inter’s back line a nightmare to get past.

With Joao Cancelo and Danilo D’Ambrosio occupying the left and right sides of defence, Verona will have a tough 90 minutes against this defence.

?Marcelo Brozovic and Roberto Galgliardini sitting deep will allow the destructively attacking flair of Inter’s wide men and attacking midfielders to flourish against a side expected to struggle on Saturday.

Ivan Perisic chipped in with a goal against Sampdoria, and will be hoping for similar success this weekend.

Antonio Candreva on the right wing will be looking to make just as strong an impact as Perisic, and Rafinha will look to pull the strings with his passing.

  • Icardi

?Mauro Icardi. There’s almost no need to even cover why he deserves a spot in the starting lineup.

Four goals against Sampdoria (during which he eclipsed the 100 Serie A goal mark), the captain is the ultimate poacher, and as long as he’s in the squad, Inter will think they can beat just about any te in the world.
