Report: Mkhi to extend with Roma

Roma are reportedly prepared to extend Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s deal at the Olimpico until June 2022.

The Armenia international moved on a permanent deal to the Giallorossi after having convinced on loan from Arsenal last term.

And the 31-year-old has continued to show his qualities in the Italian capital this term, scoring five and assisting four times in eight Serie A games so far.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports the attacking midfielder has a performance option in his deal with La Lupa and both parties are interested in extending his stay beyond June 2021.

The former Manchester United player is therefore only formalities away from signing a new deal until 2022, and the newspaper reveals it could happen before Christmas.

Mkhitaryan has contributed one goal and one assist in three appearances in the Europa League this term too.
