Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has tested positive for coronavirus, 12 days ahead of the meeting with Atalanta in the Champions League.
After Joe Gomez suffered an injury during England training this week, Liverpool might also be without Salah when they face the Orobici in the Champions League after the international break.
Egypt confirmed the Reds striker has contracted COVID-19 but reassured he is in good condition, has no symptoms and was immediately isolated.
Salah scored the third goal when Liverpool won 5-0 over Gian Piero Gasperini’s men in Bergamo, but Jürgen Klopp could be without the Egypt international when the English champions return Champions League on Wednesday, November 25.
Salah’s positive test adds to a long list of absentees at Liverpool, who are currently without Gomez, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Fabinho, Virgil van Dijk, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Kostas Tsimikas and Thiago Alcantara.
