UEFA Europa League Last 32 Draw: Confirmed Ties, Fixture Dates & More

?The last 32 draw for the 2019/20 Europa League has been made at UEFA HQ in Nyon, Switzerland in preparation for the knockout rounds getting underway in the New Year.

With a place in next season’s Champions League group stage up for grabs, 2017 winners Manchester United kick off the knockout stages against Club Brugge. The Belgian side were eliminated from the Champions League group stage last week.

If Arsenal are to go one better than last season when they were beaten finalists, their first knockout hurdle comes in the shape of Olympiacos, whom they have played in the Champions League on a number of occasions over the last 10 years.

Elsewhere, Wolves have been tasked with a two-legged affair against La Liga’s struggling bottom club Espanyol. It will be the first time that the two clubs have ever met each other.

Inter will face Bulgarian outfit Ludogorets Razgrad. Meanwhile, Ajax, who were 2017 finalists in this competition and Champions League semi-finalists last season, will play Getafe.

Steven Gerrard’s Rangers, in a European knockout round for the first time since 2011, are to play Braga, who were joint top scorers in the group stage after netting 15 times in six games. Fellows Scottish club Celtic, meanwhile, are to face Copenhagen.

Five-time record winners Sevilla have been paired with Cluj of Romania.

The 12 group winners, plus the four best Champions League dropouts, were seeded for the draw. Each was paired with either a group runner-up or the remaining four sides that were eliminated from the elite competition last week.

Usual last 32 rules applied to the draw, with no team able to face a side that qualified from their group. Country protection is also still in operation at this stage of the competition.
